Multimedia creative with over 5 years of diverse experience, driven by a desire to challenge and elevate my craft.

My name is Abel Rico, a multimedia creative with over 5 years of experience. I began with photography and progressed to producing wedding videos at a production company. Seeking new challenges beyond wedding videography, I transitioned to working on Level 1A films, reigniting my passion for creative projects.

In addition to working on Level 1A film sets, I’ve been a stagehand with my Local I.A.T.S.E 442, setting up and tearing down concerts for artists like H.E.R. and Glass Animals. Starting at 6 AM and finishing late, it's been a challenging yet rewarding learning experience.

Moving forward

While I’m familiar with gaffing, I find that familiarity can stifle creativity. To continue progressing, I’m stepping out of my comfort zone and aiming for the role of Director of Photography. It's a natural next step for me to explore new challenges and grow creatively.
